Title I is a program of the Federal Department of Education. The funds provided by the Title I program target academically disadvantaged students helping them to meet high standards. We use federal Title I funds to provide supplemental services including the Reading Lab, the Math Lab, Strategic Literacy, Academic Coaches, as well as providing materials and technology for students in their traditional classes. As part of Title I regulations, any parent has a right to request and receive information on the professional qualifications of their child's teacher. This request can be directed to any principal. If you are interested in more information about Title I in general, our parent involvement policy, parent workshop, and/or funding opportunities, please contact Mr. Brian Ellis at 560-3097. The Title 1 staff also maintain a continually updated blog that includes numerous resources for parents, announcements, and other relevant information.
