Happy Holidays Bobcats!
In December, we will be focusing on our Bobcat 5 Trait: Respect. We had the opportunity to show respect to veterans during our Veteran’s Day Ceremony on November 12th. It was a special time for our school community as we honored these heroes.
Thank you for attending your child’s parent teacher conference in November. If you were not able to make your child’s conference, please contact your child’s teacher to set up a time to meet. We value the home to school connection and your partnership in your child’s education. If you haven’t signed up for Seesaw, be sure to contact your child’s teacher to do that as soon as possible. Seesaw is a valuable communication tool that helps us to convey important information about your child’s educational program.
The Brecht construction project is going well. Thank you for your understanding and patience while our front entrance is being remodeled. The anticipated completion date of the renovation is early February. We will communicate parking directions for school events during this time. Thank you for your help!
Please be sure to dress your child warmly each day. We do have recess outside each day. In the event that the weather is too extreme, we do have indoor recess. If your child is in need of a winter coat, please let us know. We know that fresh air and physical activity each day is important for our students.
The next Brecht PTO meeting is Monday, December 4th at 6:30 p.m. At the November PTO meeting, Mrs. Rickert, our School Counselor, shared important information about career readiness and awareness. Manheim Township is aligned with the Academic Standards for Career Education and Work and we look forward to continuing to help and support our students to be well educated about career readiness.
There will be no school from December 24th to January 1st. I wish your family a wonderful holiday season and look forward to a terrific 2019!
