Penn State PULSE Program – Fall 2025

PULSE, or the Pre-health program for Underrepresented Leaders in Stem Education, is an annual program run by the Penn State College of Medicine Office of Diversity, Equity, and Belonging.
PULSE is a 12 week long educational outreach program for high school students (grades 9-12) who are passionate about healthcare and biomedical sciences. The program aims to cultivate interest in medicine, biomedical science, and healthcare systems science by
introducing passionate learners to part of the curriculum at Penn State College of Medicine. This year’s topic is Cardio & Pulmonology: Heartbeats and Beyond, and will feature lessons about heart disease, breathing conditions, and many other topics.
