Dr. Hancock 15-16 Spirit Day_1024

October 2016

Hello, Nitrauer Families!

Thank you to so many of you for coming to Back to School Night and being an active participant in your child’s education.  It was great seeing and talking with many of you.

Please sign up for November conferences if you missed Back to School Night.  You can do this by contact your child’s teacher directly. If you are unsure how to do this, please call our main office.

This year we are inviting you to send in your gently used children’s books (of any level).  We are going to have a section of the November/December Book Fair where students can buy pre-owned books for $0.25 each.  We will be collecting these books through October 7 in the Nitrauer office.

Already this year we have MANY bucket-fillers!  When students are kind to each other, help others, or do something thoughtful, we recognize their good behavior by writing their name on a paper bucket and calling their name on the announcements for a prize. Students cannot ask for this recognition, they must be “caught” making these kind choices. Ask your child about bucket-fillers at school!

*Two non-school days to remember this month:

  • October 3: Teacher In-service
  • October 12: Yom Kippur

As always, please reach out to me if you have any concerns or questions.

See you soon!
