Hello, New & Returning Parents/Guardians of Nitrauer!
Welcome! I would like to introduce myself. My name is Dr. Wendy Hancock and I am the principal of Nitrauer School and I am very excited to have you join us this year!
The first student day of school for Grades 1-4 is Monday, August 29, 2016. The first day for children coming to kindergarten is Tuesday August 30, 2016.
Class assignments for all students kindergarten through fourth grades will be mailed Friday, August 12. Kindergarteners will receive a letter from their teachers explaining the kindergarten drop-in Open House with parents on Monday, August 29th. Bus information will be mailed directly from the MTSD transportation department in mid-August.
All new families are invited to a drop-in Open House: Wednesday, August 17, 2016 10:00am – 12:00pm
Self-guided tours will be available during the Open House. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and check out all parts of the Nitrauer Knights learning community. Teachers are not required to be here that day, however, they may be in school setting up their classrooms.
It is essential that your contact information remains updated so that we can notify you in case of emergencies, if your child is sick, etc. Please see the enclosed frequently asked questions document for information on how to keep your contact information up to date.
The PTO is an essential partner in your child’s Nitrauer experience. Please visit the PTO website @http://mtpto.com/ to learn about the upcoming PTO events and how you can become an active member of Nitrauer’s PTO.
If you would like to sign up for the PTO directory that includes students’ addresses, phone numbers, and email, please enter your child’s information via the PTO website. Parents like to use the directory when organizing out-of-school events. By signing up for the directory, you will automatically get the weekly eBlasts that include important announcements and information about upcoming events.
Our supportive, active PTO meets each month at 7:00pm. Specific dates are forthcoming. Please join us to learn about the opportunities to be part of your PTO. All funds raised go to support programming for students. Our PTO funds field trips, assemblies, holiday craft workshops, and special events and projects for the school.
