December 2018 Newsletter

Gillis, KellyDecember 7, 2018Reidenbaugh Elementary News

Happy December Reidenbaugh Hoppers! With the holiday season upon us we are in for a very fun December!

Important Dates

12/07 – Mini-Thon Movie Night (ELF) – Doors open at 6:30PM, movie starts at 7PM

12/12 – Holiday Teacher Luncheon

12/21 – Early Dismissal @1:40PM

12/24-1/1 – No School – Winter Break

1/8 – PTO Meeting @ 7PM

Notes From the Office: Please keep in mind with the temperatures dropping to make sure your student is dressed appropriately for the bus stop and outdoor recess. We do continue to go outside for recess even when it is colder outside.

As the holiday parties approach we want to remind you of a couple of things:

  • Please no parking in the “No Parking Zone.”
  • Please have all parties finished by 3PM, as we don’t want to over crowd the office during dismissal.
  • If you are parked in the front in a bus lane please have your vehicle moved by 3PM so buses are able to pull in for dismissal.

Thank you for keeping these things in mind!

Movie Night – The Mini-Thon will be hosting a family movie night to support the “Pirates of the CURE-ibbean” on Friday, December 7th. We will be showing the movie “Elf” at 7PM in the Reidenbaugh gym, doors will open at 6:30PM. It is $2 per person at the door. Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase. Please bring your own chair or blanket to sit on.

Winter Wonderland Book Fair – Thank you so much to all of our volunteers that made the Winter Book Fair on Tuesday, December 4th such a success! It was such a fun event and we wouldn’t have been able to have it if we didn’t have the teachers preparing the kids to perform, those that helped with set-up, those that ran the food stands, and everything in between. A very big thank you to Kim Topf, Rebecca Stanion, Kelli Eachus, and Marla Bennett for running such an amazing event, we are so grateful for you!

Hopperville – Due to the Winter Wonderland Book Fair we will be having Hopperville on Wednesday, December 12th from 8:45AM-9:00AM in the cafeteria.

We hope that you have a great December and a wonderful holiday season!

Thank you!
