Discovering Paths Program for rising Juniors: If you’re unsure about your next steps after high school, and want help exploring career paths, Discovering Paths is here to help! This year-long program will take place during your JUNIOR YEAR and is for students who want to explore careers, develop real-world skills, and build confidence—all while connecting with a mentor who will guide you along the way. Sophomores interested in this opportunity for next year can reach out to Mrs. Ziegler for more information. An info session will be held on April 22nd (Club Day).  Only 8 students can be selected for this program, students will be given an application at the info session. Applications must be submitted by April 30th.

Penn State PULSE Program: for students in grades 9-11 interested in the medical field or health sciences. PULSE is a 12-week long educational outreach program for high school students (grades 9-12) who are passionate about healthcare and biomedical sciences. The program aims to cultivate interest in medicine, biomedical science, and health systems science by introducing passionate learners to part of the curriculum at Penn State College of Medicine. Additionally, the program gives students a chance to connect with medical students and receive mentorship. This year’s topic is Neuroscience and Behavioral Health, and will feature topics such as parts of the nervous system, brain development, neurodegenerative disorders, psychiatric disorders, and more.  Applications are due April 30th. Free summer camps in engineering, supply chain, and artificial intelligence: Primarily for rising juniors and seniors (underclassmen may apply with a letter of recommendation). The engineering camps run for two weeks and include a $500 stipend, while the one-week supply chain and AI camps offer a $250 stipend. Additional credential opportunities may also be available.
