FUN TIMES AT REIDENBAUGH – March 2019

Gillis, KellyMarch 15, 2019Reidenbaugh Elementary News

FUN TIMES AT REIDENBAUGH   Each month we will take a look at all of the fun things our “Hoppers” are doing at Reidenbaugh. This month our Kindergarten Students have been very busy! During the month of March they have been studying animal habitats. They went on a habitat hunt around Reidenbaugh searching for various animal homes (burrows, nests, ect.). The students have been learning about the challenges animals face when new construction occurs, such as their homes being destroyed to clear the land for new development leaving the animals displaced. As a result, students were tasked with the job to build new animal homes. The students needed to create a bird’s nest and a birdhouse. Students were placed in partnerships to work on collaboration and communication skills as they worked through the Engineering by Design process.   Our Kindergarten students also had an amazing time celebrating Dr. Seuss and Reidenbaugh Literacy Week. They definitely showed their creativity on all of our fun theme days!   PSSA Schedule – 3rd -4th grade students Below is the PSSA testing schedule.
