Phase III Campus Master Plan Update – Athletic Facilities

At the March 5, 2026 Facilities Committee Meeting, RLPS Architects presented two preliminary options for Phase III of the District’s Campus Master Plan, which focuses on upgrades and improvements to Manheim Township’s athletic facilities. The presentation is available here

Phase III scope of work includes:

  • Stadium: Bleacher Upgrades
  • Stadium: Team locker rooms and meeting spaces
  • Journey Field – Field house and seating
  • New parking lot
  • Stadium: New concessions, ticket booths, and scoreboard
  • Softball and Baseball facility improvements

Both preliminary concepts include a “Blue Streak Concourse” connecting the stadium and Journey Field, creating a centralized space for ticketing, concessions, restrooms, and gathering areas. The plans also prioritize accessibility improvements, additional restroom facilities, and updated locker rooms to better support student-athletes and spectators.

Two design concepts were presented:

  • Option A: A compact concourse structure between the stadium and Journey Field with centralized amenities and improved circulation between facilities.
  • Option B: A variation that rotates part of the concourse building toward the stadium end zone to allow for expanded locker rooms and team meeting space.

The plans also emphasize:

  • Improved accessibility across the stadium, Journey Field, and softball facilities
  • Expanded restroom capacity, including increased facilities for female spectators
  • Flexible spaces for team meetings, community events, and severe weather shelter

What’s Next

The Facilities Committee will continue refining the options over the next several weeks.

Upcoming milestones:

  • April 2, 2026 – Facilities Committee Meeting: Updated designs, renderings, cost estimates, and a recommended option
  • April 16, 2026 – Board Meeting: School Board vote on the proposed option
